  • Five kinds of vegetables from market were used as test materials.Borax and boiling water were adopted to make extract.After filtration by active carbon, the nitrate content in the fluid was directly determined by dual-wavelength UV-spectrophotometric method.The recovery was 102%-105% with RSD of 0.46%-0.97%.There was no significant difference compared with the GB method.The method has been applied to the rapid determination of nitrate content in large batch of vegetables.
