Abstract

Abstract

The value of biomonitoring of heavy metals is to provide information for the evaluation of bioavailability and toxicity of polluted water.The ecological features of bioindicators on monitoring heavy metals in water are summarized.Progress and problems on the bioavailability and toxicity evaluation and research methodology development targeting heavy metals in polluted water are discussed.
