A Genetic Correlation and Path-coefficient Analysis of Main Agronomic Characteristics of Balk Soybean Land Race in Fujian

  • correlation and path-coefficient analysis for agronomic characteristics of 265 balk sOybean varieties of the land race from Fujian shows that all thes traits possess a great genetic variability and selection potential.Especiatly,the numbers of branches per plant,pods per plant,seeds per plant and seed weight per plant have the greatest GCV,diameter of stem has the greatest heritabili ty,secondly are podding height,braches and plant heright Seed number per plant has the greatest genetic correlation to the yields,followed by the numbers of peds per plant,branches per plant,nodes of main stem,plant heright,diameter of stem and 100-seed weight.Seed number per plant has the greatest direct effect to seed weight per plant,plant height has the least direct effect to seed weight per plant.
