  • Mintang 86-330, Selected from the cross combination of Mingxuan 703 and PT 43-52 in 1986, is a new sugarcane variety with early muturing, high yield, high sugar content, good resistance and aptability.The experimental result at vdrious points in several years showed that its mean cane yield was 102.675 t/hm2, sucrose content (absolue value) was 15.91% during the period from NOv.to Feb., sugar yield was 16.335 t/hm2, and was 14.95%, 1.13% and 23.75% higher than that of the currently leading variety Mintsng 70-611 of Fujian province, respectively.Its social economic bebefit is significant.
