  • The effects of activated charcoal (AC) on meristem culture of the Gladiolus gandavensis,Ficus elastica and Busa cavendishii were investingated. The results showed that AC could significantly strengthen the seedling number, seedling height, root length, root number, and fresh weight of the Gladiolus gandavensi.Except fresh weight,AC could significantly strengthen the other characters of the Busa cavendishii, but could not apparently strengthen the other characters of the Ficus elastica. However,AC could increase the seedling number and root number, which was helpful for regenerating and transplanting of the meristem culture seedlings.
