The research progress in Shading efficiency for tea plants was swmmaried.Shading practice in the tea garden evidently changed the microecological environment of tea plants, especially affected the temperature and relative humidity in the crown of tea tree and the physicochemical properties of soil, and then affected the tea photosynthesis, the nutrient uptake, the metabolism and a series of physiological and biochemistry process in the re-distribution of nutrition in tea plants, finally resulted in the variation of its tea production and the formation of the natural quality.
