  • Purification of flavonoids extracted from leaves of Helianthus tuberosus L. utilizing a macroporous resin was investigated. The optimized processing conditions included the use of X-5 resin in a volume twice of BV, a solution feeding rate at 2 BV/h, and 70% ethanol for rinsing. With the resin filtration, the flavonoid content in the extract increased 3.57 times exhibiting a significant reducing capacity.
