The new tea cultivar ‘Yucui' (Camellia sinensis) was cultivated and the adaptabilities (e.g.survival rate, the botanical characteristics, yields of fresh leaf, sensory and biochemical quality evaluation of made tea, the enviromental resistance) of which were investigated in Guangdong, Hubei, Guizhou province. The results showed that the germination period were delayed, and the survival rate and yield of fresh leaf in Yingde and Wuhan are higher, but it decreased in Meitan compared with CK.It is interesting that the changes of thickness of shoot is reversed with the changes of survival rate.Furthermore, the drought and cold resistance were increased, but the quality of green tea made from ‘Yucui'in Yingde city was the same as CK and the quality of green tea in Wuhan and Meitan were decreased. Our results suggested that ‘Yucui'cultivar was suitable for cultivating in Guangdong, Hubei, and Guizhou province.
