Analysis on Major Characters of the 73 Indica Hybrid Rice Combinations Registered in Fujian Province During 2008-2012

  • The major characters of 73indica varieties released in Fujian province from 2008to 2012were analysed. The results showed that the majority of registered varieties were three-line hybrid rice combinations,and many male sterile lines were used.Most of the combinations had a high grain yield and good rice quality,the quality and yield traits in rice were preliminary coordinated。The male sterile lines had great ffect on blast resistance of combination and the the combining ability of restorer line has important roles in yield heterosis.Base on these results,the strategis about combinations breeding were discussed.
