To adjust and optimize the variety structure of pear production in Fujian,an adaptive experiment was conducted in three culture regions with seven new varieties. The varieties were introduced from other provinces or abroad with differences in maturity stages. The results showed that 'Cuiyu' revealed advantages in fruit quality for commercializing, early maturity, ratio of fruit setting and yield, and with a good prospects for popularization and application.'Chuxialv' presented the potential to be a variety of complement to early-maturing pear.Other pear varieties showed no significant advantage in the aspects of comprehensive cultivation and economic characters compared to 'Cuiguan' and 'Huanghua',which should be careful for developing as cultivars.
