Breeding of a New Balsam Pear Variety Ruyu 53

摘要: ‘如玉53号’苦瓜是以‘美冠-49’为母本,‘K0816’为父本配制选育而成的苦瓜一代杂种,中早熟。瓜长棒状,皮绿色具有光泽,纵条间圆瘤。瓜长35cm左右,横径6~7cm,肉厚1.0cm,平均单瓜重500g。肉质甘脆微苦,品质好。每667m2产量2 000~3 000kg,适合福建省及周边地区种植。Abstract: Ruyu 53 Balsam pear was the F1 hybrid between the inbred line Meiguan-49 and K0816.The variety displayed early-middle ripe character.The fruit was long stick,green skin,with round tumour.The average weight was 500 g,the length was about 35 cm,the diameter was 6-7cm,the meat thickness was about 1.0cm.The fruit meat tasted sweet,fragile and little bitter.Ruyu53 Balsam pear produced stable(yield ranging from 2 000 to 3 000kg·667m-2.It is suitable to be planted in Fujian province and periphery provinces.
